  1. Town in the province of Soria, modern Spain.
  2. In medieval times it was a border town on the Castilian side, close to the kingdom of Aragon.
  3. Ágreda is on the Camino de Santiago, a route which has brought pilgrims from all over Europe to the sanctuary of St. James in Compostela, Galicia. This tradition has been revived, especially in the last twenty years.
  4. Place where Fernando IV of Castile and Dinis of Portugal met (1304).
